Minecraft Dungeons 2 Capes, Pets & Rewards

Every Minecraft Dungeons II cape, pet and promo reward explained: the Hero Cape deadline, Deluxe extras, event capes, the Aurora Cape warning and how to redeem.

Verified for version1.0

Minecraft Dungeons II does not have a universal code list. The official reward system is built around editions, pre-orders, playing the first game and limited events, and each source has its own deadline and redemption path. This page separates what is still obtainable from what has already expired, so you do not waste time on a fake code list.

Reward sources at a glance

Reward Source Still available?
Hero Cape Play Minecraft Dungeons with the same Microsoft account, then log into Dungeons II before 31 December 2026 Yes, until the deadline
Soul Cape, Blub pet, four hero skins, DLC 1 and 2 Deluxe Edition Yes, with the paid edition
Twisted Cape, Twisted Chicken pet, two skins Pre-order bonus No longer available through purchase
Corrupted Creeper Cape Events and promotions Event-dependent
Special Cape Special occasions and thank-you drops No fixed steps
Aurora Cape Minecraft Twitch/TikTok promotion Minecraft only, not Dungeons II

The table is the whole system in one screen. If a page promises a working code for any of these, it is almost certainly recycling an old promotion or making one up.

The Hero Cape is the main free reward

The Hero Cape is the reward most players can still claim. The official steps are:

  1. Play Minecraft Dungeons with the same Microsoft account you will use for Dungeons II.
  2. Log into Minecraft Dungeons II before 31 December 2026.
  3. The cape unlocks for Dungeons II and also for Minecraft Java and Bedrock.

You do not need to own both games to qualify. The official article says playing the first game through Game Pass or Steam counts, and joining a friend's couch co-op session also counts. That makes the Hero Cape the cheapest reward in the list: borrow a copy or join a friend, then log in before the deadline.

Deluxe Edition and pre-order rewards

The Deluxe Edition includes four hero skins (dark-gold variants of Valorie, Kellen, Ren and Flores), the Soul Cape, the Blub pet, and DLC 1 and 2. These are part of the edition, not separate codes.

The pre-order bonus was the Twisted Cape, the Twisted Chicken pet and two skins. The official article treats it as a pre-order reward that is no longer available through purchase. If you see it sold as a code, treat that as a third-party risk, not an official path.

Event capes and the Aurora warning

The Corrupted Creeper Cape is distributed through online and offline events and promotions; the official page says to stay tuned, which means there is no fixed permanent unlock. The Special Cape is described as a special-occasion or thank-you reward, with no repeatable steps.

The Aurora Cape is the one that causes confusion. It is a Minecraft-only reward, not a Dungeons II cape. The promotion ran from 29 September to 14 October 2026: watch 15 minutes on Twitch or 3 minutes on TikTok, then redeem the code at minecraft.net/redeem by 31 October 2026. Even if you redeem it, it does not appear in Dungeons II.

How to redeem

  • In-game rewards: use the game's rewards/redeem screen for edition and promo content.
  • Minecraft cape codes: redeem at minecraft.net/redeem.
  • Physical pre-order codes: redeem through the platform store you bought from — Xbox, Nintendo eShop or PlayStation Store.
  • Dungeons II promo codes: check the official Capes & Promos article for the current path; do not trust a list that does not name its source.

Common mistakes

  • Searching for a universal code list. There is no official universal list; rewards are tied to accounts, editions and events.
  • Missing the Hero Cape deadline. 31 December 2026 is the date to remember.
  • Confusing the Aurora Cape with a Dungeons II reward. It is Minecraft-only.
  • Buying a pre-order code from a third party. The official pre-order window is closed; treat resale as risky.
  • Assuming the Deluxe extras are codes. They are part of the edition and unlock through the platform account.

Start here

If you played the first Dungeons, log into Dungeons II before 31 December and claim the Hero Cape. If you are buying the game now, decide whether the Deluxe extras are worth it before chasing event rewards that may not return.

FAQ

Are there universal Minecraft Dungeons 2 codes?

No. The official Capes & Promos article lists rewards by source — editions, pre-orders, playing the first game and events — not a universal code list. Treat any 'all working codes' page as unverified.

How do I get the Hero Cape?

Play Minecraft Dungeons with the same Microsoft account, then log into Minecraft Dungeons II before 31 December 2026. Joining a friend's couch co-op in the first game also counts.

Is the Aurora Cape usable in Dungeons II?

No. The Aurora Cape is a Minecraft-only reward. It is not a Dungeons II cape, even though it is promoted alongside the game.

What does the Deluxe Edition include?

Four hero skins, the Soul Cape, the Blub pet, and DLC 1 and 2. The Deluxe Edition is the paid upgrade, not a code you redeem separately.

Where do I redeem a code?

In-game through the rewards/redeem screen, or at minecraft.net/redeem for Minecraft cape codes. Physical pre-order codes go through the platform store you bought from.
