Krillion: How to Play, Score & Use Practice Mode

A Krillion how-to-play guide: seven prompts, 25-second timer, rarity scoring, Daily/Practice/Double/Battle modes, and how to find rarer answers.

Verified for version1.0.8

Krillion is a daily trivia game where the obvious answer is rarely the best one. Each Daily Dive has seven open-ended prompts, and rarer valid answers score more. This page covers the rules, scoring and modes.

The Daily Dive

A Daily Dive is seven prompts with about 25 seconds each. You type an answer rather than choosing from a list. Answers are checked against the game's accepted-answer pool; an unrecognised answer costs time while you retry. The Daily Dive is the same for everyone and refreshes at 00:00 UTC.

Scoring

Answers are placed in rarity tiers from Plankton to One in a Krillion. Rarer valid answers score more and send your krill deeper. A perfect seven-prompt dive is 700 points, often shown as a 7,000 m descent. Third-party guides disagree on the point-to-depth conversion, so treat the in-game result screen as final.

Modes

  • Daily Dive: the shared seven-prompt round with the 25-second timer, one scored attempt per day.
  • Practice Dive: seven prompts with no timer, useful for learning what the answer checker accepts.
  • Double Dive: bank one answer, then try for a rarer one and keep the better result.
  • Battle: private rooms with friends for live rounds; the Android store listing describes this as the multiplayer mode.

Better answers

Start with the first answer that comes to mind, then ask whether a more specific version is still clearly correct. A country is weak; a lesser-known example that fits the prompt is stronger. Watch the clock: an invalid answer can consume most of the 25 seconds. Use Practice to learn accepted spelling and phrasing.

Start here

Play the Daily Dive once without overthinking it, then use Practice to test narrower answers. Try Double Dive once you can reliably find a second, rarer answer inside the timer.
